- Narrowcasting- a channel/ producer distributes content to a narrow/ niche audience
- Time-shifting- to record a programme and then 'shift' it to a platform for future broadcasting
- Simulcasting- broadcasting both traditional schedule and online
- Web 2.0- second phase development of world wide web- staying online; collaborating- sharing info; meetings; hyperlinks
- Horizontal integration- a media conglomerate has different companies/ subsidiaries and they work together/ in synergy e.g. a film company using the audio company to produce music for a soundtrack
- Vertical integration- full control of all stages-production, distribution, exhibition; keeps profits
